Process: During a brainstorming session, I came up with a good set of interesting words. I then chose my favorites and laid them out on paper to see how they reacted with one another. After drawing thumbnails and choosing the best one, I laid a loose composition down onto tag board in pencil. I started filling dark areas in with ink, getting progressively darker. I eventually applied the colored gouche and touched it up with more ink.
